The cold is here

This morning I woke up not wanting to get out from under the warm covers ... Naima was already out of the bed and calmly turned on the TV to watch her shows (yep, she gets up on her own and goes directly to the tv to watch Dora)
We looked out our window and saw this:


Yay for cold weather! I love the cold rainy days. I love the warm blankets, a nice cup of coffee to warm my tummy and my daughter, cuddling and cozying...

Wow, it sure does look icky out there. Perfect reason to just stay in and do nothing. It's cute that she wakes up and goes to watch Dora.

It was cool and cloudy here too. Just about time to start up our base board heaters.

Naima getting up and doing her thing reminds me so much of Carrie. She would get up, and go get a bowl of cereal, and then eat it dry in front of the tv. Or I would find her in her
"playroom"

Carrie, it was only icky all morning, then the sun came out for a bit, but in the afternoon it began to rain ... I love it!
Naima always wakes me up when it's on, of course her way of waking mommy up is by slapping me ...

Carol, please excuse my ignorance, I have no clue what those are(?) Sorry :-(

I don't know if you have them, but the baseboard heaters are those electric ones by the baseboards of your house. Yeah, I used to do that all the time. I remember doing it when I was young, actually. Waking up when it was still dark, grabbing a box of cereal, and sitting in front of the TV eating dry cereal right out of the box. I hate cereal with milk. Yuck!

She slaps you when it's time to get up?! I'm sorry, but I laughed when I read that. :P Kids are funny.
