Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President
Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly

What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep
What do you feel when you look in the mirror
Are you proud

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why

Dear Mr. President
Were you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
How can you say
No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pave the road to hell

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye

Let me tell you bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you bout hard work
Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you bout hard work
Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
You don't know nothing bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
Oh

How do you sleep at night
How do you walk with your head held high
Dear Mr. President
You'd never take a walk with me
Would you

I am such a cool mom

Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to pick upa few things. And at the cashier's shelf, I found this little booklet with Halloween recipes and bought it for fun. This morning I woke up feeling creative. So, I decided to make pancakes, but with some haunting ideas ...

Boo!

Yeap, Ghostly Pancakes!! I'm such a mom, but I had fun making these. I wish Naima was old enough to help me. She did enjoy eating them, well she played with them first while, until she put it in her mouth and figured it was eatible.

Yes, I am in that Halloween spirit!!

Because I can and I will

Life sometimes may feel like it's not going the way you want it to be. It never does, and it never will. Everyone has considered a plan for their lives. And yet, you find yourself somewhere else than what you had in mind. "Nothing in life goes as planned", it is true. You might achieve your goals, in what you considered as a plan. But in the end, you didn't accomplish them the same way you had thought about. Our lives are so full of surprises. You can't expect for everything to go as you want it to be. Unless you are lucky (and if you are, you suck!)
Some of us take life too seriously, and we don't look the bright/positive side of it. Most of us think of work work work or school x 100... but what about the good times, the fun times? What ever happened to take life at ease? Why rush?
If you see the streets of downtown, all these people are headed to start their day, but are eager to end it so soon. What if it was your last day to enjoy every moment? My point being, enjoy and cherish every single moment that you have. Don't take things for granted, you never know when you'll lose them and then wonder "Why didn't I enjoy it as much as I wanted to now?".
Some people, however, take the risk and just hope for the best. No matter what it takes, these people are willing to discover the outside world. These open-minded people, these souls that are rich in power of curiosity that is the human being.
No one knows, not any living organism knows what these people are about to encounter in their lives ... good or bad, just not a single clue, but only hoping for the best and just enjoy the good times to come ...

KATIE COME HOME!!

This is a post about a girl I used to work with and is friends with my best friend, her name is Katie. Some people may have heard on the news there is a missing woman from Langford, Kathleen Walker. She went missing on September 19th . She was last seen at 12:30pm on September 19th at the Colwood Corners Coast Capital Savings.

There are posters of her picture, a missing ad, everywhere in town. I also saw one at the Shelbourne Tim Hortons which is where Katie and I used to work. It's also on A-Channel news.

"West Shore RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating a 20-year old woman who has been missing from her home in Langford for more than a week. Kathleen Anne WALKER was last seen in Victoria on Tuesday, September 19.
Police say family and friends are very concerned as Walker's disappearance is out of character for her.

She is described as 5'7", 128lbs with long brown hair and blue eyes. Police were also looking for her car - a gold 1997 Saturn with BC license plate 217 FWA.
It was found in the last few days, near a forest. I am not exactly sure where.

If you have any information , please contact West Shore RCMP at: (250) 474-2264.

News reports were last updated on the 29th of september, images and more info about her

Heather, was looking for recent pictures of her, she snooped around on her MSN spaces, but on September 13th she deleted everything off her space.
It seemed a little odd ...

Katie, please come home or at least phone and tell everyone you are alright.
